INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHT CELL, BVCOE

Intellectual property right cell was founded in 2013 with a view to encourage students of BVCOE from all disciplines. The main objective of the cell is to promote progress, generate new ideas and to provide absolute protection. This treats IP as another type of real property. The aim of IPR cell is to develop analytical and creative skills amongst the students. This is accomplished through brainstorming sessions, discussions amongst multidisciplinary students, expert talks, etc.

IPR Cell is under the leadership of Mrs. Shifaly Sharma, Assistant Professor, Electronics and Communication Department, who is the Incharge of the cell.

Activities performed by IPR cell in BVCOE campus:

  1. IPR Cell organized a talk on ‘How to develop your invention from idea to Patent” by Mr. Varun Sharma, BTECH (ELECTRONICS) with LLB from Delhi University. This lecture was held on 19th August, 2015.The session was based on basics of patent and how to write claims for filing final patent.

IPR CELL, BVCOE hosted two events at BVEST 2015, both of which attracted a pool of talented students across the student audience that graced the fest.

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY QUIZ

The quiz had two rounds: First being a pen and paper round of multiple choice questions based on great inventors and their inventions and the final round consisting of subjective or one word questions on different types of IPs viz trademark, copyright,patent, etc.

      2. IDEATHON

IDEATHON was conducted as the first edition of our flagship event for coming years. We saw young innovative minds at work, coming up with ideas like Social cart.com, RF energy Harvesting smartphone cover, On the go Pizza delivery automobile, online screening of election candidates and s social network of colleges.
