The\u00a0Department of Information Technology, Bharati Vidyapeeth\u2019s College of Engineering, New Delhi<\/strong>, in association with the\u00a0Higher Study Cell<\/strong>, organized a seminar titled\u00a0\u201cA Roadmap for Higher Studies in USA\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a030 October 2025<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a0C-204, BVCOE, Paschim Vihar<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The session was conducted by\u00a0Ms. Rupali Verma from EducationUSA<\/strong>, who provided valuable insights into opportunities for pursuing higher education in the United States.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the seminar, students were guided on various aspects of studying abroad, including\u00a0university selection, application procedures, standardized tests such as GRE, TOEFL, and IELTS, scholarship opportunities, and visa requirements<\/strong>. The session aimed to help students effectively plan their academic and career goals for international education.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Around\u00a050 students participated<\/strong>\u00a0in the seminar and gained useful knowledge about the process of applying to universities in the USA and building a strong academic profile for global opportunities. The Department of Information Technology at\u00a0Bharati Vidyapeeth\u2019s College of Engineering, New Delhi<\/strong>\u00a0organized a\u00a0Five-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on \u201cGenerative AI and Prompt Engineering\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a008\u201312 December 2025<\/strong>\u00a0at the BVCOE campus, Paschim Vihar.<\/span><\/p>\n

The FDP aimed to introduce faculty members to the fundamentals and applications of\u00a0Generative Artificial Intelligence and Prompt Engineering<\/strong>, which are becoming essential skills in modern education and research. The sessions covered topics such as\u00a0AI fundamentals, prompt crafting techniques, large language models, practical demonstrations, and ethical use of AI technologies<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The program featured expert talks from renowned academicians and industry professionals including\u00a0Dr. Jasjit S. Suri, Mr. Anand Prakash Singh, Mr. Sumit Rathee, Dr. Shivani Jain, Prof. Manju Khari, Dr. Jitendra Samriya, and Dr. Aman Dureja<\/strong>, who shared valuable insights on emerging AI technologies and their real-world applications.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The FDP provided an excellent learning platform for participants to enhance their knowledge of\u00a0Generative AI and modern AI tools<\/strong>, helping them integrate these technologies into teaching, research, and innovation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The interactive session was coordinated by Dr. Alka Leekha with a brief introduction about the speaker. A memento was presented to the speaker by Dr. Dharmender Saini, Principal BVCOE as a token of appreciation. The primary objective was active listening and embracing the facilitator mindset which helps in transforming teaching into mentorship that empowers students to lead with purpose. She emphasized on the role of educators in shaping India\u2019s future. Each of us should encourage every citizen to spend one hour towards the nation building activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

The training extended the AI, ML, DL Using Python program conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth\u2019s College of Engineering as part of their Summer Training program, which took place from July 10th<\/sup>\u00a0 to August 22nd 2024, with this training commencing midway through the program. <\/span>In the initial three weeks, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of AI and ML. Following this, they received guidance on government schemes designed to support budding entrepreneurs and engaged in discussions to deepen their understanding of business and market trends. With a specific emphasis on supporting Micro and Small Enterprises (MSME), the training aimed to foster entrepreneurship and educate participants on business setup processes. The interactions with panelists provided students interested in entrepreneurship with meaningful insights, further enriching their entrepreneurial journey.<\/span><\/p>\n

Industrial visit is considered as one of the tactical methods of teaching. The main reason behind this, it lets student to know things practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. Moreover, it gives exposure from academic point of view. Main aim of industrial visit is to provide an exposure to students about practical working environment. They also provide students a good opportunity to gain full awareness about industrial practices. Through industrial visit students get awareness about new technologies. Technology development is a main factor, about which a students should have a good knowledge. Visiting different companies actually help students to build a good relationship with those companies. We know building relationship with companies always help to gain a good job in future. After visiting an industry students can gain a combined knowledge about both theory and practice. Students will be more concerned about getting a job after undertaking an industrial visit.<\/span><\/p>\n
