In modern engineering, analytical solutions to many real-world problems are often impractical or impossible due to the complexity of the systems involved. As a result, computational methods provide a vital approach to solving these problems by approximating solutions using computers and numerical algorithms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13770\" src=\"https:\/\/bvcoend.ac.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Picture1-3-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"477\" height=\"636\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bvcoend.ac.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Picture1-3-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/bvcoend.ac.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Picture1-3-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/bvcoend.ac.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Picture1-3.jpg 1100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 477px) 100vw, 477px\" \/>Course Objectives: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To understand numerical methods to find roots of functions and first order unconstrained minimization of functions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To introduce concept of interpolation methods and numerical integration.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To understand numerical methods to solve systems of algebraic equations and curve fitting by splines.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To understand numerical methods for the solution of Ordinary and partial differential equations.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Course Outcomes: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">CO1: Ability to develop mathematical models of low-level engineering problems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">CO2: Ability to apply interpolation methods and numerical integration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">CO3: Ability to solve simultaneous linear equations and curve fitting by splines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">CO4: Ability to numerically solve ordinary differential equations that are initial value or boundary value problems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Facility used: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hardware facilities: 18 Desktops with 16 GB RAM of i5 processors, 1 Printer, 1 Whiteboard.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Software facilities: Code Blocks Simulation Tool<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Lab In-charge:<\/strong> Dr. Rajiv K.
