Athena, founded in 2023, is a student-driven society dedicated to promoting growth and innovation in the gaming ecosystem. By providing students with opportunities to explore careers in competitive gaming, content creation, and game development, the society emphasizes holistic development. We introduce members to diverse roles such as programming, design, art, and sound engineering, while involving them in real-time game development projects to foster creativity, technical expertise, and a strong drive for continuous improvement.

April 15–17 | 3 Days, 1 Challenge, Endless Possibilities

Day 1 — Ideate

Starts with a webinar followed by the hackathon. Submit your ideas and start building right away!

Day 2 — Design & Build

A full day dedicated to workshops and coding to turn your idea into a working prototype. Judging will take place over Discord by the end of the day.

Day 3 — Showcase & Fun

Qualified teams come to college for the exhibition. Experience “Gaming Arcade” vibes with mini-tournaments and final presentations.

2025–2026

Game Development Session by Mr. Pranoy Chatterjee

The Game Development Webinar was held on 13 October 2025 where Mr. Pranoy Chatterjee was the speaker, founder and CEO of Unquittable Studios. Participants gained foundational knowledge of game engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine, along with insights into level design, storytelling, character creation, and coding concepts. The interactive discussion enhanced creativity and motivated students to explore game development further.

HackNFrag : BGMI

Participants worked in teams to build complete playable games within a limited time. The challenge promoted rapid prototyping, innovative thinking, and collaborative development.

2024–2025

Game Development Webinar by Mr. Satyajit and Mr. Vivek Jha

The Game Development Webinars were held on 3rd May 2025 and 4th May 2025. On Day 1, a webinar was conducted on Game Development. Mr. Satyajit was invited as the speaker for the session. The participants enquired about his experience in the gaming industry. On Day 2, the second webinar was conducted on Game Development. The speaker for the session was Mr. Vivek Jha. The participants enquired about the basics of Game Development. To foster a spirit of teamwork, strategic thinking, and healthy competition among students while promoting gaming as a legitimate form of skill-based engagement and building a sense of community through an enjoyable and inclusive esports experience.

Valorant Tournament

On Day 1, 16 teams competed in 8 brackets, with each match determining a winner to progress to the next round. By the end of the day, 8 teams qualified for Day 2. On Day 2, the 8 qualified teams faced off in intense matches, culminating in the finals, where the top two teams battled for the championship title. The entire tournament was broadcast live on the Athena YouTube channel, allowing a wider audience to enjoy the action-packed matches and cheer for their favorite teams.

BGMI Tournament

On 20th September 2024, we hosted an exciting BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) tournament where students showcased their skills in a day of intense and thrilling competition. The top teams battled fiercely, with the best taking home a well-deserved prize pool.

2023–2024

WebWeave

The goal of the UI/UX competition, held with Campus Blocks and Nidus, was to give students a chance to flex their creativity and design skills while tackling real-world challenges in user experience.

Zenith

Athena organized a gaming tournament ‘Zenith’ featuring Tekken, FIFA, and BGMI. Students showcased their skills in a thrilling competition filled with excitement and camaraderie.

Game Development and WEB3 Seminar

The seminar introduced attendees to game development basics, covering design principles and programming, with practical exercises to inspire creativity and explore career opportunities in the gaming industry.

BGMI Tournament

The BGMI tournament in our college brought students together for a competitive and engaging gaming experience. Teams showcased their strategic skills, fostering teamwork and community spirit.
