BVCOE SPORTS

The student associations of different departments of BVCOE engage in various GAMES AND SPORTS activities. Sports activities provide a platform for students to explore new interest, exhibit leadership skills and work in teams. All the students participate in a wide-range of activities which are related to games and track and field that nurture their skills. Most of these activities initiated by the students develop a dynamic culture, foster team spirit among the students. There is also the Annual Sports meet which is held for the students who take active interest in sports. This is for the students who excel in athletics and various sports and need a platform.

The BVCOE Sports Committee has a following structure:

As per the standards requirements, Mr. Rajiv Nehra, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering has been appointed as the sports incharge for the establishment and implementation of sports activities. In addition to this department/section has got Coordinators as well as members selected from the faculty and staff members.

Kabaddi

The playground of the   Kabaddi   shall be level and soft preferably made of earth, manure and sawdust.  The  ground  shall be 121/2 meters X 10 meters.

Basketball

Dimensions. Basketball courts come in different sizes. In the National Basketball Association (NBA), the court is 94 by 50 feet (28.7 by 15.2 m). Under International Basketball Federation (FIBA) rules, the court is minutely smaller, measuring exactly 28 by 15 meters (91.9 by 49.2 ft).

Table Tennis

The table is 2.74 m (9.0 ft) long, 1.525 m (5.0 ft) wide, and 76 cm (2.5 ft) high with any continuous material so long as the table yields  a  uniform  bounce  of about  23   cm (9.1 in) when a standard ball is dropped onto it from a height of 30 cm (11.8 in), or about77%.

Cricket

The size of the field on which the game is played varies from ground to ground but the pitch is always a rectangular area of 22 yards (20.12m) in length and 10ft (3.05m)

Football

The corners of the pitch are marked by corner flags.  For  international  matches  the field dimensions are more tightly constrained; the goal lines must be between 64 and 75 m (70 and 80 yd) long and the touch lines must be between 100 and 110 m (110 and 120 yd).

Badminton

The overall dimensions of a badminton court are 20 feet by 44 feet. The lines along these measurements mark the sidelines for doubles play and long service lines for singles play. BVCOE SPORTS FUNCTIONS

  2. To conduct state level Abhijeet Kadam Memorial cricket Tournament.
  3. To send the nominations for university level annual GGSIPU sports and athletics meet  
  4. To provide facilities and fulfill the gear and equipment requirements for all sports activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. To maintain the facilities of ground and goods for sports activities in BVCOE.
    2. To ensure the proper Discipline in the sports meet/tournament.
    3. To ensure all games and athletics activities must be conducted and played in sporting manner. 
    4. To ensure the safety of students during the play and especially in GYM and related events.
