Summary of event: 

The Training and Placement Department of Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering, in collaboration with EduMinerva Student Chapter, successfully organized the Pre-Placement Boot Camp 4.0, a week-long initiative aimed at preparing students for upcoming placement opportunities.

With a nominal registration fee of INR 100, the boot camp featured a structured curriculum including technical training sessions, aptitude and domain-specific assessments, industry expert talks, mock interviews, and career guidance. The event was designed to provide hands-on learning experiences and exposure to real-world hiring practices, ensuring participants were well-equipped to meet industry demands.

The event commenced with an inaugural ceremony, followed by insightful sessions on emerging technologies and career trends. Mrs. Pooja Mandlaus from Adobe delivered a keynote on the impact of Artificial Intelligence, while Mr. Divin Bajaj from Microsoft discussed the “Jobs of Tomorrow.” Sessions on AMCAT assessments and professional communication further strengthened students’ foundational skills, complemented by alumni talks sharing real placement experiences.

The second day focused on evaluation through aptitude, English proficiency, and domain-specific tests, enabling students to assess their analytical and technical capabilities. Subsequent days emphasized technical expertise and profile development, with sessions on Data Science, Resume Building, and Data Structures & Algorithms conducted by industry professionals.

A key highlight of the boot camp was the mock interview sessions conducted by experts and alumni from reputed organizations such as Adobe, Yamaha, L&T, EY, Infosys, and Dentsu. These sessions provided a realistic simulation of recruitment processes, allowing students to gain confidence and receive constructive feedback.

Advanced domain-specific masterclasses were conducted in the later stages of the event, focusing on Software Development and Consultancy roles. The final day featured sessions on career growth, evolving industry trends, and higher education, followed by an award ceremony recognizing top performers.

With 240+ participants from various branches of the third year, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation and active engagement throughout the week. The boot camp successfully enhanced students’ technical competence, problem-solving abilities, and confidence, preparing them to excel in placement processes.

In the overall category, Anjali Priyadarshi (IT-1) secured the first position, followed by Rudransh Goel (CSE-II) in second place and Angel Gupta (CSE-I) in third place.

Domain-wise recognition included Ansh Sharma(ECE-I) as the Core Domain winner and Satvitk Phour (ECE-II) as the Non-Technical Domain winner.

The week-long initiative concluded on a celebratory note, marking the successful completion of Pre-Placement Boot Camp 4.0 and reinforcing its impact as a transformative learning experience for aspiring professionals.

Event Benefits: The event was highly beneficial for students as it was structured to provide focused learning and practical exposure for placement preparation: 

  • Day 1: Students gained insights into AI, future job roles, recruitment assessments, and professional communication along with real-world placement experiences from alumni. 
  • Day 2: Aptitude, English proficiency, and domain-specific tests helped students evaluate their analytical, technical, and communication skills, identifying strengths and improvement areas. 
  • Day 3: Sessions on Data Science, DSA, and resume building enhanced technical knowledge and helped students create industry-ready profiles. 
  • Day 4: Mock interviews provided real-time hiring experience, improving confidence, technical articulation, and interview performance through expert feedback. 
  • Day 5: Advanced sessions on DSA and consultancy equipped students with problem-solving strategies and domain-specific preparation techniques. 
  • Day 6: Sessions on career growth, AI trends, and higher education broadened perspectives, while the award ceremony motivated students and recognized excellence. 

The  Pre-Placement Boot Camp 4.0, organized in collaboration with the Training and Placement Department of Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering, commenced with an engaging and insightful start, laying the foundation for a week of learning and skill development.

Day 1 featured an inaugural ceremony followed by a keynote on the “Impact of AI” by Mrs. Pooja Mandlaus (Computer Scientist-2 at Adobe) and a session on the “Jobs of Tomorrow” by Mr. Divin Bajaj (Data & Applied Scientist at Microsoft). Additionally, Mr. Jasmeet Singh (Associate Director at SHL) delivered an essential session on AMCAT assessments, while Mrs. Gauri Tehran (Behavioural Specialist) led a “Voice to Value” masterclass to sharpen students’ professional presence.

The day concluded with Senior Talks from alumni placed at ZS, EY, Infosys, TCS,  and Osmosys who shared their real-world placement journeys and interview strategies

The second day of the bootcamp maintained its momentum at the Library and F-Block with a rigorous focus on assessing core skills. 

The day began with a comprehensive Aptitude Test followed by an English Proficiency Test to evaluate logical reasoning and communication skills. Students then participated in Domain Specific Tests for both Technical and Core branches to gauge their industry relevance. 

The day’s evaluations concluded with an online session in the evening specifically targeting the Consultancy domain, ensuring a well-rounded assessment of every participant’s analytical ability and problem-solving skills.  

Day 3 focused on technical depth and profile optimization with sessions held in the Auditorium. This day aimed to provide insight about demands of the market and enhance their knowledge about critical concepts. 

Mr. Sajal Madan (Data Scientist at Shiprocket) provided a deep dive into Data Science, while Mr. Rudra Agarwal (Counsellor & Research Mentor) conducted an intensive workshop on Resume Building. The technical segment was further bolstered by Mr. Aniket Tyagi (SDE at Atlassian), who led a high-impact session on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). 

To wrap up the day, senior students returned to share personalized insights and answer peer-to-peer questions regarding the upcoming placement season.

The fourth day transitioned to practical application with full-length, offline Mock Interviews conducted at the Incubation Cell and Conference Room. A distinguished panel of alumni and professionals including experts from Adobe, Yamaha, L&T, EY, Infosys, and Dentsu provided students with a realistic simulation of the hiring process. These one-on-one sessions allowed participants to test their technical knowledge and soft skills under pressure, receiving immediate, constructive feedback to refine their performance for actual corporate recruitment thus preparing them for the corporate world. The mock interviews enabled participants to identify their strengths and areas for improvement while receiving constructive feedback to refine their performance for real job interviews. 

On the fifth day, the bootcamp moved to the Seminar Hall for specialized domain masterclasses designed for final-round preparation. 

 Mr. Abhinav Maheshwari (SWE at Yamaha) conducted an advanced DSA session, highlighting the importance of DSA in the market and providing key insights and ways to handle problems efficiently, it was followed by Mr. Mayank Hora (Associate Consultant at EY), who provided strategic insights into the Consultancy sector. He also discussed his work-life at EY and provided keen insights about recruitment processes in Consultancy companies. 

The day concluded with an SDE-focused session by Mr. Harsh Sagar (ASE at Nagarro), who outlined the roadmap and technical expectations for software development roles in top-tier MNCs.

The final day of Pre-Placement Boot Camp 4.0 marked the successful conclusion of a week-long initiative aimed at equipping students with essential career skills and industry insights. 

Mr. Chandan Jha (Assistant Vice President at GeekforGeeks) and Mr. Rajat (Deputy Manager at Deloitte) discussed the evolving landscapes of AI, careers, and higher education. They told the students about the things a company expects and how to stand out from other candidates  

The week of intensive training culminated in a prestigious Award Ceremony where top performers were recognized with prizes and certificates. The event concluded on a celebratory note with food distribution, marking the successful completion of a transformative experience for students.

The Training and Placement Department of Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering, in association with EduMinerva Student Chapter, organized Pre-Placement Boot Camp 3.0, dated 20th to 26th March 2025.  

The event brought together 45+ company officials from Microsoft, Google, Amazon, American Express, United Lex, Accenture, Sapient, TE Connectivity, Siemens, Lutron, EY, Capgemini, and more, offering students valuable industry exposure. 

The primary objective of Pre-Placement Boot Camp 3.0 was to equip students with the technical skills, industry insights, and professional acumen needed to excel in placements. Through a blend of domain-specific sessions, mock tests, resume building, interview simulations, and real-world problem-solving, the event provided hands-on exposure to industry expectations while boosting confidence, enhancing decision-making, and developing analytical thinking for diverse career opportunities. 

With 330+ third-year participants and an organizing team of 36 EduMinerva members, the event exhibited enthusiastic participation. 

In the overall category, Lakshay Pahal (IT-1 DS) secured first place, followed by Divyansh Singh (ECE-3 AIML) in second place and Dhananjay Aggarwal (IT-1 DS) in third place. Domain-wise winners included Navya Gupta (CSE AIML) in the Technical Domain, Mohit Bhushan (IT-1 AIML) in the Non-Technical Domain, and Khushi Agarwal (ECE-3 CSE) along with Raman Sharma (EEE Core) in the Core Domain. 

The week-long event successfully provided students with essential industry insights and practical experience, preparing them for future placement opportunities.

The seven-day Pre-Placement Boot Camp 3.0, organized in collaboration with the Training and Placement Department of Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering, commenced with an engaging and insightful start, laying the foundation for a week of learning and skill development. 

Day 1 featured informative sessions led by industry experts. Ms. Swati Sinha (Project Manager at TE Connectivity) provided a comprehensive overview of Data Engineering, while Ms. Kangana Sharma (Project Manager at Accenture) discussed Project Management strategies essential for career advancement. Additionally, Mr. Jasmeet Singh Sethi (Assistant Vice President at SHL) delivered an insightful session on AMCAT assessments, equipping students with the knowledge to navigate recruitment processes more effectively. 

The day concluded with senior talks from professionals at ZS Associates, Accenture, Osmosys, and Yamaha, who shared their real-world placement experiences and interview strategies, offering students a valuable perspective on corporate hiring processes. 

The second day of Pre-Placement Boot Camp 3.0 maintained its momentum with a strong focus on assessing aptitude, technical proficiency, and analytical skills to prepare students for real-world recruitment scenarios. 

The day commenced with a comprehensive Aptitude Test, evaluating students on logical reasoning, numerical aptitude, and problem-solving abilities. Participants then had the option to choose between a Technical Test, which assessed coding skills and analytical thinking, and a Non-Technical Test, which featured a case study exercise to gauge problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. 

This structured approach provided valuable insights into individual strengths and areas for improvement, enhancing students’ readiness for future placement opportunities. 

The third day of Pre-Placement Boot Camp 3.0 featured insightful sessions designed to equip students with industry knowledge and career guidance.

The day began with a session on Generative AI by Mr. Dipak Pandey (Senior Consultant at Microsoft), highlighting its growing impact across industries and the career opportunities it presents. This was followed by a session on Cyber Security by Mr. Dharmendra Yadav (Corporate Trainer at CETPA Infotech), covering data protection, ethical hacking, and risk management to help students understand the evolving cybersecurity landscape.

Later, Mr. Nishant Bharadwaj (Verification IP Engineer at Siemens EDA) provided insights into VLSI and semiconductor technology, focusing on chip design fundamentals and the future of the semiconductor industry. The day concluded with Senior Talks, where alumni from Infosys, Newgen, and Mohan Energy shared their placement experiences, interview strategies, and career advice, offering valuable guidance for students preparing for job opportunities.

The boot camp continues to provide students with technical expertise and industry insights, helping them build a strong foundation for their professional journeys.

Day Four of the Pre-Placement Boot Camp 3.0 unfolded in a virtual format, delivering a power-packed lineup of sessions that offered expert insights into technology, consultancy, and career advancement. 

The day commenced with an insightful session on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) by Mr. Ishan Agarwal (Engineering Manager at Google), who covered fundamental concepts crucial for excelling in coding interviews. This was followed by an engaging talk on Consultancy by Ms. Eva Sarin (Consultant at EY India), where she explored effective problem-solving strategies and case study methodologies, providing attendees with a strong foundation for consulting roles. 

The highlight of the day was the Senior Talks session, featuring distinguished alumni from Amazon, Tata 1mg, and Lutron. They shared their placement experiences, offering practical advice, career insights, and lessons learned from their professional journeys. 

The day concluded on a highly motivational note, leaving participants inspired and well-equipped with actionable strategies and real-world perspectives to confidently pursue their career goals. 

Day 5 of the Pre-Placement Boot Camp 3.0 featured expert-led sessions covering critical aspects of the placement process, offering a blend of sessions aimed at strengthening both technical and professional skills.   

Ms. Asmita Amrit, a resume expert, provided valuable insights on crafting effective resumes that highlight relevant skills and achievements. Ms. Mansi Guupta, a Career Leadership Coach and a TEDx speaker, conducted a session on Interview Etiquette, emphasizing professionalism, effective communication, and body language during interviews. 

Ms. Aishwarya Mittal (Senior Software Engineer at American Express) delivered an informative session on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) to strengthen problem-solving skills, while Ms. Simran Kaur (Associate Data Analyst L2 at Publicis Sapient) provided a detailed overview of Data Analytics, highlighting its importance in data-driven decision-making. 

The diverse sessions equipped students with practical knowledge and boosted their confidence, ensuring they are better prepared for future placement opportunities. 

The sixth day of Pre-Placement Boot Camp 3.0 provided participants with a platform to experience real-world interview scenarios and assess their preparedness. 

Interviews were conducted in both offline and online modes, covering technical and non-technical domains. The offline interviews were facilitated by Harshit Gaur, Ankita, Srishti, Harsh Kukreja, Ayushi, Aditi Sharma, Saiyam Arora, and Aditya Raghav, while core branch interviews were led by Shubham Gupta. The online interviews featured an experienced panel, including Muskan Jain, Gaurav, Junaid Malik, Haseen Raza, Ishita, Lipakshi, Adil, Rupanshi, Srishti Singhal, Soumya Mehendirata, Tisha Kapoor, Shradha Bansal, Abhinav Sobti, Chetan Chawla, Ishita Agrawal, Sarthak, Dhruvi Bansal, and Harshit Mathur. 

The mock interviews enabled participants to identify their strengths and areas for improvement while receiving constructive feedback to refine their performance for real job interviews. 

The final day of Pre-Placement Boot Camp 3.0 marked the successful conclusion of a week-long initiative aimed at equipping students with essential career skills and industry insights. 

The day commenced with an HR Insights session by Ms. Sonia Bakshi (Talent Acquisition at UnitedLex), where students gained valuable knowledge on corporate hiring practices, interview strategies, and workplace expectations. The session provided participants with a deeper understanding of the recruitment process and professional growth strategies. 

Following this, the Award Ceremony was held to recognize outstanding performers. Summary of event: The Training and Placement department and EduMinerva, the career counseling society of Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering, New Delhi, organized a five-day Placement boot camp from March 18 to 22, 2024. This boot camp aimed to equip third-year students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the upcoming placement season.

The event’s major highlights featured industry experts from AMCAT and Policy Bazzar, who guided and mentored the students. Through activities such as aptitude quizzes, a session on Resume Building & Interview Etiquette conducted by an industry expert, resume screenings, and mock interviews, the students were fully equipped to confidently excel in their upcoming placement opportunities. In addition to attending diverse Speaker Sessions, taking Aptitude & Coding Assessments, and participating in Mock Interviews, students were allowed to interact with their seniors who had secured placements in prestigious companies. This interaction allowed the students to uncover the secret strategies employed by their seniors.

On Day 1, a Session on AMCAT Assessment by Mr. Jasmeet Singh Sethi, official AMCAT, Ninjas followed by a Senior Talk. Further on Day 2, the Placement Aptitude Quiz was based on the questions asked in various company’s written test rounds. On Day 3, a Session on Resume Building & Interview Etiquette by an Industrial expert followed by a Senior Talk. Mock Interviews & Resume Screening by Alumni were held on Day 4. A session on a Complete Roadmap to Life skill by Mr. Ashok Kumar from Kyndryl followed by a Senior Talk were conducted on Day 5. Informative sessions were conducted by seniors who had secured placements in renowned companies like TCS, Amazon, ZS Associates, Nagarro, Thoughtworks, Publicis Sapient, Accenture, TCIL, and more. After the event on 22nd March 2024, the selection committee identified the top performers as Udit Hasija, Tisha Chhabra, Amish Singh, Uday Garg and Saurabh Kumar . All the top performers and participants were rewarded with exciting prizes and awarded certificates as a token of recognition.

Placement Boot camp:

The Training and Placement department and EduMinerva, the career counselling society of Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering, New Delhi, organised a 5-day Placement Bootcamp from 24th April 2023 to 29th April 2023. This bootcamp aimed to equip the third-year students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the upcoming placement season. More than 150 students have been participated in this event. 

In addition to attending diverse Speaker Sessions, taking Aptitude & Coding Assessments, and participating in Mock Interviews, students were given the opportunity to interact with their seniors who had secured placements in prestigious companies. This interaction allowed the students to uncover the secret strategies employed by their seniors.

The detailed timeline for the bootcamp:

  • Day 1 (24/04/23) – Session on Career in Data Science by Mr. Ankush Singla, Co-Founder & CEO, Ninjas followed by a Senior Talk. 
  • Day 2 (25/04/23) – Placement Aptitude Quiz based on the questions asked in various company’s written test rounds. 
  • Day 3 (26/04/23)- Session on Resume Building & Interview Etiquette by an Industrial expert followed by a Senior Talk. 
  • Day 4(28/04/23) – Mock Interviews & Resume Screening by Alumni. 
  • Day 5 (29/04/23)- Session on a Complete Roadmap to DSA by Mr. Lakshya Singh from Coding Blocks followed by a Senior Talk.

Informative sessions were conducted by seniors who had secured placements in renowned companies like TCS, Amazon, ZS Associates, Nagarro, Thoughtworks, Publicis Sapient, Accenture, TCIL, and more.

The major highlights of the event featured industry experts from Coding Ninjas and Coding Blocks, who provided guidance and mentorship to the students. Through activities such as aptitude quizzes, a session on Resume Building & Interview Etiquette conducted by an industry expert, resume screenings, and mock interviews, the students were fully equipped to confidently excel in their upcoming placement opportunities.  At the conclusion of the event, the selection committee identified the top performers as Saiyam Arora, Aditya, Abhay Tiwari, Srishti Singhal, and Aryan Tiwari.  All the top performers and participants were rewarded with exciting prizes and awarded certificates as a token of recognition.

A session about “Career in Data Science” would be held by the CEO and Co-founder of Coding Ninjas Mr. Ankush Singla. The session started by introducing the field of data science and highlighting its importance in various industries. To help the audience better understand the field, he covered the following: – 

  • Real-world examples of data science projects and their impact on businesses and industries. 
  • Challenges that data scientists often face and how to overcome them.
  • Some tips for those interested in pursuing career in this domain.

This was being followed by an Informative Talk by Seniors placed at companies like S&P Global, Amazon and Yamaha.

A Placement Aptitude Quiz was conducted on the second day which was based on questions asked in real job interviews. It was a 90 minutes MCQ based test consisting of actual questions asked in the company’s written test rounds.

A session on Resume Building and Interview Etiquettes was held on day 3 by Minakshi Bansal, an alumni of Shri Ram College of Commerce(SRCC) who is a certified corporate trainer. She is empaneled with National Career Service (NCS), Ministry of Labor and Employment as a Career Counsellor and Vocational Guidance Expert. In the session, 

  • Some common mistakes were discussed that people make while creating a resume. 
  • The etiquettes that one should follow while applying for a job was taught in the session.

This informative session was followed by Senior Talk, another interactive catchup where our seniors placed at ZS Associates and Thoughtworks will walk us through the recruitment process and their personal experience.

 

 

Mock Interviews for placements and Resume Screening were done on the fourth day by our college alumni placed at colossal companies who provided feedback and improvements in student’s resume and interview performances.

On day 5 of the placement bootcamp, we have:-

A session scheduled on “Complete Roadmap to DSA” which was given by a professional speaker from Coding Blocks Mr. Lakshya Singh. The session covered the following:- 

  • Discuss about different types of data structures and their implementation in various programming languages. 
  • Cover the most commonly used algorithms, such as sorting, searching, and graph algorithms.
  • Tips on how to prepare for coding interviews that typically require a good understanding of data structures and algorithms. 

After the session, An interactive session was scheduled with seniors from comapnies such as TCS, Nagarro, Accenture, TCIL, Publicis Sapient and Eduvoice.

The closing ceremony for the Placement Bootcamp was conducted on 4th May 2023, Thursday in Auditorium, wherein the announcement of the top performers and felicitated by Principal Sir, Prof. Dharmender Saini and certificates to all the participants were distributed.
