Chyawanprash Day is a sports fest for institute staff members that is organized every year. The primary goals of the Chyawanprash Day are mentioned as :

To build a sense of community within the Bharati Vidyapeeth fraternity between Staff members.

Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering, New Delhi organized an event i.e. Chyawanprash Day (Teachers Sports Day) with a great variety of activities. Here’s a breakdown of what each event could involve, along with some possible ideas for how to organize them:

Tug of War:

Teams: Teachers were divided into teams as per respective departments (e.g., male vs. male, female vs. female teams).
- Equipment: A long rope, and some markers on the ground to indicate where the teams should start.

Rules: The goal is to pull the opposing team across a central line. The team with the most strength and teamwork wins!

Winners: Applied Science Male and female teams won

Slow Cycling Race:
- Setup: Mark a start and finish line.
- Challenge: Participants must cycle from the start to the finish line at the slowest possible speed without putting their feet down. The person who completes the race in the slowest time wins.

Equipment: Bicycles (preferably similar types).

Winners: Applied Science, IT, ECE Dept won

Mataki Fod (Breaking the Pot):

Setup: Place an empty pot in middle of plane ground area.
- Challenge: Participants (blindfolded) have to try to break the pot with a stick, while being guided by others.

Equipment: A sturdy pot, stick, blindfolds, and a safe area.

Winners: All Dept successfully have broken the pot.

Lemon Race:
- Setup: A spoon and a lemon for each participant.
- Challenge: Participants have to carry a lemon on a spoon from the start to the finish line without dropping it. If the lemon falls, they must start over.

Equipment: Spoons and lemons (or small balls for a twist).

Winners: Mr. Devender, Dr. Avinash, Dr. Nitu Sahrawat, Dr. Annu Yadav

Tambola (Housie):
- Setup: Use a tambola (housie) board with numbered tickets.
- Challenge: Teachers and staff can participate in a game of tambola, with winners receiving small prizes.

Equipment: Tambola board, tickets, and tokens.

Winners: Dr. Jolly Parekh, Dr. Surender Kaur

Musical Chairs:
- Setup: Arrange chairs in a circle, one less than the number of participants.
- Challenge: Play music while participants walk around the chairs. When the music stops, they must quickly sit down. The one left standing is eliminated, and a chair is removed each round until one winner remains.

Equipment: Chairs and music player.

Cricket Matches:

Setup: Divide teaching and non teaching staff members into teams and set up a cricket pitch, and boundaries in sports ground.

Challenge: Organize a knock out tournament.

Equipment: Cricket bats, balls, stumps, and protective gear.

Winner: Tech Team won.
