About Lab:
The Electrical Machines Lab is designed to provide hands-on experience in understanding, analyzing, and testing electrical machines, including DC machines, transformers, induction motors, and synchronous machines. This lab helps students learn about machine performance, efficiency, and control under different operating conditions.
Objectives of the Lab
- To understand the working principles of DC and AC electrical machines.
- To analyze the performance of DC motors, DC generators, transformers, induction motors, and synchronous machines.
- To study different testing methods for evaluating machine characteristics.
- To measure parameters such as torque, efficiency, voltage regulation, and losses.
- To implement speed control methods for various machines.
- To integrate simulation and real-time experiments using software tools like MATLAB.
