Inaugration Event of GFGBVCOE

The Geeks for Geeks Society Welcome Event, held on 6th February 2024, gathered approximately 50 students along with the esteemed Faculty Incharge, Dr. Shristi Vashishtha, to inaugurate the society’s activities for the semester. The event kicked off with a warm welcome, fostering excitement among attendees who were eager to delve into the realms of technology and coding. Icebreaking activities facilitated connections, setting the stage for interactive sessions that included inspiring speeches from the President, Vice President, Faculty Incharge, and core team members. These sessions not only introduced the society’s leadership but also provided an overview of its goals and plans for the upcoming semester. Following the introductions, a guest speaker from the tech industry shared valuable insights, offering attendees a glimpse into the vast possibilities within the field. A dedicated Q&A session allowed participants to seek clarification and engage in meaningful discussions. The event concluded with a networking session, enabling attendees to exchange ideas and build connections within the Geeks for Geeks community.

 

AI Connect of GFG BVCOE

The Geeks for Geeks society hosted “AI Connect,” held an event on 23rd February, 2024 dedicated to unraveling the mysteries of Generative AI, at Bharati Vidyapeeth. Approximately 70 students, alongside Faculty Dr. Shristi Vashishtha, immersed themselves in this captivating exploration. The event commenced with a warm welcome and an introduction, setting the stage for attendees to embark on a journey into the realm of artificial creativity. Throughout the event, participants delved into the fundamentals of Generative AI, gaining insights into how machines can create innovative content. Real-world applications were demystified, showcasing the transformative potential of this technology. Live demonstrations further illustrated the power of Generative AI, offering firsthand experiences of its capabilities in pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. A highlight of the event was the engaging guest speaker session featuring Mr. Ritik and Ms. Manya, distinguished experts in Generative AI. Attendees had the opportunity to glean insights into the latest trends, advancements, and the profound impact of this cutting-edge technology across various industries

Pyhunt

PYHUNT, hosted on 6th March, 2024, by the Geeks for Geeks society, was a vibrant celebration of Python proficiency, attracting nearly 100 participants eager to demonstrate their skills. Under the guidance of Faculty Dr. Shristi Vashishtha, the event unfolded seamlessly with engaging activities such as a diverse Quiz Round and an exhilarating Bingo session. These challenges not only tested participants’ comprehensive understanding of Python but also encouraged critical thinking and strategic gameplay. The top three winners – BitManipulative, Shreshth, and DPR Ian – emerged victorious after showcasing exceptional skill, knowledge, and resilience throughout the competition. Overall, PYHUNT exemplified the vibrant spirit of the Python community, celebrating proficiency while nurturing a supportive environment for learning and growth within the realm of technology and coding.

 

Innovogue

The Ideathon event hosted by Geeks for Geeks on 5th March, 2024 served as a platform for fostering innovation, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial spirit among approximately 50 participants, under the guidance of Faculty Dr. Shristi Vashishtha. The event commenced with offline registration, providing a seamless entry point for participants to immerse themselves in a day of creative ideation and collaboration. A highlight of the event was the Mentorship Round, where seasoned mentors Charvi and Dhruv provided invaluable guidance to participants, ensuring their growth and success throughout the event. Participants actively engaged in both Idea Pitching and Business Pitching rounds, presenting their innovative concepts and entrepreneurial plans to a panel of judges led by renowned judge Mohit Tiwari. This provided participants with the opportunity to receive expert feedback and insights, further refining their ideas and strategies. Winners, including Balidan, Glamifyme, and Bitbusters, were recognized and honored during the certificate distribution ceremony, where they received certificates and exciting goodies as tokens of appreciation for their exemplary participation.

 

StepNext: Navigate Your Career Pathway – A Pre-placement Bootcamp

The StepNext event, organized by GeeksforGeeks (GFG), was a dynamic pre-placement bootcamp designed to equip students with essential career readiness skills. Featuring an inspiring session by Sandeep Jain, Founder and CEO of GFG, the event emphasized perseverance, adaptability, and strategic thinking in career development. Jain shared his entrepreneurial journey, highlighting the significance of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) in employability and problem-solving. He also provided insights into bootstrapping vs. external funding, encouraging students to adopt a pragmatic approach toward growth and innovation. Through resume building, interview preparation, and industry insights, StepNext empowered attendees with the tools needed for professional success.
