The student associations of different departments of BVCOE engage in various GAMES AND SPORTS activities. Sports activities provide a platform for students to explore new interest, exhibit leadership skills and work in teams. All the students participate in a wide-range of activities which are related to games and track and field that nurture their skills. Most of these activities initiated by the students develop a dynamic culture, foster team spirit among the students. There is also the Annual Sports meet which is held for the students who take active interest in sports. This is for the students who excel in athletics and various sports and need a platform.

OBJECTIVES OF THE COMMITTEE

  1. The college facilities for sports and games activities for students both indoor and outdoor
  2. Students are encouraged to participate in institutional sports
  3. The winners at the college will be considered for participation at inter college and inter university

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMMITTEE

  1.  To prepare sports calendar and an action plan to implement the same.
  2. To create zeal amongst students and faculty members towards sports.
  3. To achieve the goals, we plan to organize various competitions in the following sports: cricket, Relay Race, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, kabaddi, kho-kho, carom, chess and table tennis etc.
  4. To make sure smooth conduct of sports events within the college.
  5. To maintain record of sports and games events attended by students within the college, university and outside of the region/state.
  6. Proper maintenance of sports accessories.
  7. To provide necessary infrastructure for the sports.
  8. To take up the responsibility of preparing the budget estimate, requirement of infrastructure equipment, maintaining the equipment and play fields.
  9. Selection of teams to represent the college in inter-collegiate tournaments and also the intramural tournaments.
  10. To prepare the details of attendance exemption to be given to the students representing college in various sports and games

The playground of the   Kabaddi   shall be level and soft preferably made of earth, manure and sawdust.  The  ground  shall be 121/2 meters X 10 meters.
