Tech. final year project supervisor for Ms. Rashmi Sangwan at Galgotias University, Greater Noida, India. It dealt with performing mutation analysis of people’s perceptions toward GMOs extracted from large Twitter feeds based on several parameters including time of day, language and time zone, and then analyzing them through creating bubble diagrams.
• Speak Up – This project was carried out under my supervision as MCA final year project supervisor for Mr. Vivek Indra at Galgotias University, Greater Noida, India. It dealt with implementing “Augmented Reality” bot including speech recognition mechanism. The objective of this project was to design a fun user-friendly game with advanced 3D features.
• STEM based tool – This project was carried out under my supervision as M. Tech. final year project supervisor for Mr. Saurav Singh at Galgotias University, Greater Noida, India. It dealt with building a STEM simulator for dynamic creation of UML diagrams, mind maps, chemical formulae, and the like, to provide an interactive learning environment for the users.
• Smart city simulation and analysis – This project was carried out under my supervision as B. Tech. final year project supervisor for Mr. Swapnil Shekhar at Galgotias University, Greater Noida, India. It dealt with building a smart city based on analyzed parameters and thorough analysis.
• Analyses of people’s perceptions toward risks in genetically modified organisms – This was a research project carried out as topic of thesis for my Ph.D. degree at North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND. It dealt with analyzing the changes in consumer perceptions toward potential risks involving the presence of genetically modified organisms in food products by applying a novel approach of generating mind maps of these perceptions.
• BrANDi (Brand Associative Network Diagrams) – This project was carried out in the Department of Communication which dealt with listing concepts highlighting NGO-corporate partnerships, and thereby generating a mind map (or associative network) of these concepts in order to analyze the impact of these partnerships from both consumers’ and activists’ point of views.
• Data Requests – This was a critical project being carried out in the Office of Registration and Records. It dealt with generating several data-driven queries concerning desired students’ data through PeopleSoft such as students’ degree audit completion rates, count of the minimum required courses in a single degree program, and the like.
• Tracking mobile objects using wireless sensor networks – This dealt with the continuous tracking of a moving object by a wireless sensor network composed of several homogenous sensor nodes deployed randomly in a large square grid.
• CourseLeaf Campus Catalog – This was a major team project carried out in the Office of Registration and Records by our development team which dealt with updating the entire NDSU curriculum catalog campus-wide with the help of an external software, Leepfrog.
• Grade Distribution Reports – This was an individual project carried out in the Office of Registration and Records concerning removal of the individual grade (s) and modification of the respective grade point averages (GPA’s) of those degree programs that contain five or fewer students.
• STEM Building Lab Survey – This was an individual project carried out in the Office of Registration and Records which dealt with collating several of the NDSU departmental laboratory data recording count of the total number of laboratories and their respective rooms, and the like.
• Degree Programs – This was an individual project carried in the Office of Registration and Records in which every NDSU’s single degree program’s information was stored on the Registration and Records’ page with the help of TYPO3.
• ImageNow Recovery Documents – This was an individual project carried in the Office of Registration and Records which dealt with recovering many NDSU’s lost students’ document (s) with the help of ImageNow and PeopleSoft.
• Dominating Set for Point Coverage in wireless sensor networks – This was a research project carried out in the Final year of my Master’s degree at North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND in October 2009. It constructs a Dominating Set of a given set of sensor nodes in C++ and Java.
• Game of Chess for 2 players – This was a course project (Parallel/Distributed Simulation) carried out individually at North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND, USA in December 2008. I had designed an interactive Java applet for establishing a simple TCP/IP connection using socket programming and specifying the host address as one’s internal IP address.
• Online Course Reservation System (OLCRS) – This was a course project (Foundations of Digital Enterprise) carried out in a group of two at Ansal Institute of Technology, Gurgaon, India in July 2006. We had developed an on-line course reservation system (OLCRS) for students admitted to the University (like a Campus Connection portal at NDSU). We had used simple HTML with integrated CSS at the front-end and MS SQL server at the back-end.
• Bandwidth Meter – This was an independent project carried out in a group of three in Delhi, India in April 2006. We had developed a real-time bandwidth capturing application with a hardware connection of Windows XP with Ubuntu Linux on two different machines connected through a thick Coax and also tested it on a single Windows XP machine with a bootable Knoppix Linux CD. We captured bandwidth of the system in real-time on one platform and recorded that bandwidth in another. We made use of PHP at the front-end and MySQL at the back-end for this project.
• Advanced Photo Editor – This was a web-based final year home project carried out in a group of three at GGSIP University, Delhi, India in June 2005. We had designed a parallel application of Adobe Photoshop integrating almost all features of Photoshop like Grayscale Toning, Blurring, and the like. We’d also developed a special tool of Encryption/Decryption on image pixels. We made use of MS Frontpage (similar to Adobe Dreamweaver) to design this project.
