The second-year Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) students from BVCOE, New Delhi, had a highly informative industrial visit to the Panipat Thermal Power Station on 09/04/2026. The visit offered a practical understanding of coal-based electricity generation, covering processes like boiler operations and turbine functioning. Students were impressed by the advanced technology and large-scale machinery, reinforcing classroom concepts like Thermal Energy and Electricity Generation. A key highlight was the 10 MW solar power plant, which introduced students to clean and sustainable energy practices and motivated them to consider eco-friendly solutions. Overall, the educational visit successfully bridged theoretical knowledge with real-world industry applications.

Objective of the Event	The objective of the short-term course on Smart AI and Industrial Automation 4.0 is to equip learners with practical knowledge and hands-on skills in applying artificial intelligence, data analytics, and intelligent control systems to modern industrial environments. The course aims to develop an understanding of smart manufacturing concepts such as Industry 4.0 architecture, IoT-enabled automation, machine learning for predictive maintenance, and cyber-physical systems, enabling participants to design, operate, and optimize automated processes. By bridging theoretical foundations with real-world industrial applications, the course prepares learners to enhance efficiency, flexibility, and decision-making in digitally transformed industries.

REPSI-2026

The 5th International Conference on Renewable Energy Potential for Sustainable Initiatives (REPSI 2026) was held on 6th & 7th February 2026, embracing the theme “Energizing the Path to Net Zero”. This theme reflects the urgent global commitment to achieving carbon neutrality. As nations, industries, and communities work together to curb emissions, renewable energy technologies stand at the forefront of this transition. Achieving Net Zero requires more than commitments; it demands innovation, collaboration, and transformative solutions across energy systems worldwide.

This theme captures the essence of advancing renewable technologies, integrating energy storage, adopting smart grids, and leveraging cutting-edge materials—including polymers and composites—to reduce environmental impact. At REPSI 2026, the theme serves as a call to action for academia, industry, policymakers, and innovators to come together and share knowledge that accelerates the transition towards clean energy.

Participants often work with development boards such as Arduino Uno or Raspberry Pi to build simple projects like smart home systems, temperature monitoring devices, or automated lighting. The workshop typically combines theoretical explanations with hands-on activities, helping students understand how IoT is applied in real-world areas such as smart cities, healthcare, agriculture, and industrial automation. By the end of the session, attendees gain foundational knowledge and practical experience in designing and implementing basic IoT solutions.

Industrial Visit to IGDTU Delhi (UPTech Automation)

Objective	The objective of the industrial visit to Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) in collaboration with Uptech Automation was to gain practical exposure to industrial automation technologies including PLC systems, Automated Test Equipment (ATE), control systems, pneumatics, and 3D printing technologies. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world industrial applications.
Summary of the Event	During the visit, participants were introduced to PLC automation setups, Automated Test Equipment (ATE), and pneumatic control systems used in industries. Demonstrations were given on industrial control panels and automation processes. Attendees also observed FDM-based 3D printing and resin-based 3D printing technologies, understanding their working principles and applications in rapid prototyping.
