STUDENT HEAD: Tanuj Ahuja (Google Student Ambassador)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

The Google Students Club is a part of the Google Student Ambassador Program that is hosted by Google across the globe. BVP-GSC was initiated exclusively with an aim to promote Google technologies, enhance the business skills and improve the technical adroitness of fellow students by hosting and organizing events and workshops. The Club also spreads a word about various competitions, boot-camps, scholarships and other opportunities that are provided by Google.

LATEST EVENTS CONDUCTED


1. MOON$HOT THINKING

(20th October,2014)

Overall objective of the event:

  • GSC-BVP presented Moon$hot  Thinking , a thriving interplay on Entrepreneurship and Startups by Ashish Tulsian, Alumni  BVCOE and Startup founder of  POSist.
  • In this event, students had access to mentorship, community startup programs, co-working space and much more.
  • Startup session was followed up by an event on Design Thinking,where students were asked to design their ideas and solutions for smart villages in India.
  • Shortlisted participants were given a period of 5 days to Digitally Market their idea,which was to be presented during the I3 challenge (event scheduled for the techfest)

Highlights of success:

  • The session was a huge success, gathering of around 100 students was there in the auditorium ,Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering ,Paschim Vihar.
  • Fun events and games were played to make students understand design thinking better in a more practical way.
  • Google stickers were given to all attendees.

2. i3 CHALLENGE

Overall objective of the event:

  • GSC-BVP conducted i3 challenge on BVEST, technical fest of Bharati Vidyapeeth college of engineering, i3 stands for IMAGINE,INVENT AND IMPACT.
  • I3 was a business event in which participants came up with their innovative ideas that are capable to be presented in market. The event tested business approach and marketing strategies of the participants. The Business idea  played the major role in end decision of the competition. The other factors on which the participants were judged included marketing strategies, business approach and innovation.

Highlights of success:

  • The session was a huge success, gathering of around 20 students was there in the DELPHI HALL ,bharati vidyapeeth college of engineering ,paschim vihar.
  • Students came up with brilliant ideas and presented their B-plans for smart villages in India.

3. SHERLOCK’S GAME: 

Overall objective of the event:

  • Sherlock Game  is a semi-technical event for those fast paced minds who want to show us what they are made of! Filled with conundrum related puzzles and logical reasoning, we are out to find the sherlock in you! An event where you can blow off some steam from all the technical stuff by solving crimes, thinking laterally and most of all, by having fun!
  • A fair warning – Sherlock’s Game is uncomplicated and enjoyable, but never to reckoned easy!

Highlights of success:

  • The session was a huge success, gathering of around 20 students was there in the LAB C304 ,Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering ,Paschim Vihar.
  • Students came up with brilliant ideas  eliminated various options to come out with the most probable answer as the trick of the game lies in ‘Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth!!’
