Objective

To normalize mental health issues and to help our peers excel academically, professionally and personally

The society strive to advocate the cause of spreading awareness about mental health issues and encourage people to look beyond the stigma associated with this sensitive subject. It is a student-led society wherein webinars/seminars and workshops are conducted comprising several subjects associated with mental health in collaboration with qualified experts. The society would host group discussions and support groups mediated by professionals where we can simply preach the importance of the cause and how to deal with certain issues at an individual level. Our university has an abundant number of societies and clubs centered around technical, non-technical and artistic skills but none of them focuses primarily on mental health, making ours the First (student-led) Mental Health Society of BVCOE under IP University.

Taking cognizance of the fact that mental health is an umbrella term, it is not always associated with stress, anxiety and depression.

We aim to host events that are centered around time management, finding motivation, anger management, personality development, building self-esteem, tackling social anxiety, invoking creative thinking, dealing with academic stress and peer pressure etc.
